Colliseum...

Natto...

natto (the pic on the right) ...the traditional food of the japanese which is apparently common to have it during breakfast...it is usually stirred before eating it with rice...by stirring it you would notice that it is sticky and gives the cheesy string like texture....

my fasination with natto begin when i started reading yakitake manga when they show azuma's grandfather having it for breakfast...how he claims it being japanese staple food and he always had it for breakfast for his entire life....so when i saw it on the menu at Funa Sushi i couldn't resist not ordering it can i...to see how it taste like and if its as good as Azuma's grandpa said....

when it came we were wondering wat happened to the quail's egg that was featured together in the menu with the natto...we were informed that it had already been mixed in together with the natto....so without further hesitation miu miu and i started tasting the natto....

YUCKS.......dats all i can say......yes it was that bad.....the taste of fermented soy beans definately was not our cup of tea....it had a strong raw pungent taste to it....even smelling it after dat was too much for us that we had to put it far aside....i tried to give it another go by mixing it with my rice since we 1st tried it plain without anything...but the taste was too strong that even the rice didnt help much.....

natto is definately an acquired taste....we definately do not have it.... :p

Shangri-la Hotel...

Buffet at Shangri-la Hotel....another sumptious meal due to Miu Miu's recomendation :)
Only manage to snap one picture at the start of the buffet which we started off by having desserts as our appetizers :p Their desserts was all too tempting that we could not leave it to the end to taste it.... hehe...there was a chocolate fountain which we dipped marshmallow, grapes, love letters, strawberries n biscuits in it....yummy...

All in all the buffet was delicious....oysters and sashimi's was fresh....the choices of food was aplenty and we were spoilt for choices...from chinese food to french food.. well its an international buffet after all....the chicken tandoori was done to perfection, not too dry and was juicy...there was italian food as well... pizzas with salmon on top, creamy pastas....we ate till we could take no more...

will go back for the wonderful desserts again :p

Taman Rashna

Due to MiuMiu's cravings for pancake wrapped roasted peking duck, we girls headed to Taman Rahsna in Klang for a wholesome good old chinese dinner.

we ordered the famous duck and it was supadelicious with its crispy but juicy shredded roasted duck wrapped together with fresh de-skinned cucumber in a thin pancake. This aromatic dish is to be eaten with a sweet sauce. YUM!!

Along with that we also ordered this spinach soup with kei chi which sweetens the soup TWICE because the early birds finished the first one and when the rest came we had to order again and well...eat again!! it was very very tasty and irresistable...hardly for someone like me to agree that anything green can taste good ;p
